Spalted Maple Bowl

The maple tree is beloved throughout New England for it’s wood, syrup, and vibrant fall foliage.  Maple wood is characterized by a smooth grain and unique light color.  Fallen maple trees in the early stages of decomposition to get remarkable spalted lines running throughout the wood are up-cycled to create these bowls.  Available in four sizes.  Each bowl is made by hand using a solid piece of wood.  

Hand wash only.  A food safe mineral oil is recommended, once a month.
